October 28 is a major Czech state holiday commemorating the creation of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918. Today it remains an important date for celebrating Czech history and identity.
The Czech flag
The flag uses white and red horizontal fields with a blue triangle at the hoist. The design survived the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia and continues as the national flag of Czechia.
Represent Czech heritage
Czech diaspora and mixed-heritage families can combine Czechia with another meaningful country, such as Slovakia, Germany, the United Kingdom or the United States.
